Editorial

With our second on line issue we begin a series of activities of intothepill for the period 2006-2007.
In this issue we present videos by artists from Serbia, Germany, and Greece. With this group of videos intothepill has participated in Strangescreen Festival in Thessaloniki (4-8 Oct. 2006). We are happy to announce that the second price was awarded to the artist Milos Tomic for his work “Hair”.

From the present issue we inaugurate a new section of intothepill called soundrugs, which will take up the work of artists who make experimental use of music and sound in videos, performances and installations or in internet based works, exploring these specific media and expanding their field of application.

The first such project to be presented will be Yiannis Isidorou’s video-installation “Kidwalkin”, with music by Thanos Chrysakis and Dario Bernal Villegas. This will take place on 11-12 Nov. 2006, in the artist run space Dr. Sorovits’ Lab in Athens, along a vj set called “Roughcuts” with music from Karlheinz Stockhausen to contemporary experimental underground scene. New editors for the section soundrugs will be Yiannis Pediotis and Thanos Chrysakis.
