Born in Tehran, Iran in 1969

Lives and works in Tehran.
After studying in Paris and working in theatre as a stage designer, she returned to Iran, in 1999.
At first Neda worked in theatre and Visual Art simultaneously, she co-created “Leeve Theatre Company”, “Parallel group” (an environmental performance group) and she was the Art director of “Katibeh Gallery”.
Over the past years she participated in several solo and group exhibitions.
Her main video, installations and performances are: “The Willow Tree-2001”, “A Seated Woman-2002”, “A few centimetres above sea level-2002”, “Baby Set/ Dream-2004”, “Notes of a Housewife-2005” and “Variation-2006”.
In 2003, with Shahab Fotouhi she exhibited a big environmental art project “Census” in a 28-floor building in Tehran, and the year after in CCCB in Barcelona.
She has had few exhibitions in Tehran, New York, Barcelona, Delhi, Roma, Freiberg, Yerevan, and Yokohama.
